You need to create positive speaking situations to counteract the negative ones. Best way to do this? Deliberate dysfluency or stuttering on purpose. Pick up a phone, and get a list of all your local hotels. Call each one stuttering on purpose, ask if they have a swimming pool or what time breakfast is. But stutter on purpose. Its tough to do at first but it works! The more you allow yourself to feel comfortable with the act or stuttering in front of others, the less you will feel fear in speaking situations. Keep doing it until it becomes boring. Do it in the real world too, in stores/restaurants/etc. When it becomes boring, there's no fear anymore. If you want me to go into more detail let me know.
