Need advice about telling people I stutter Hi all, I'm starting a new job in the hospital and will be interacting with a lot of supervisors, doctors, etc. So my speech therapist told me to tell whoever is directly in charge of me that I stutter so that it release the tension and makes my speech a lot easier. Which I'll have to be doing every month or so since I'll be rotating a lot. The issue is, I don't know how to bring it up. I don't want it to sound like I'm making an excuse for myself for whatever but just to tell them that this is the case, I'm working on it and I hope you be patient with me when I speak.
