Metronome therapy has been around since the 70s right?! Not sure about my fellow compadres, but when I’m in a block, thinking of executing metronomic speech is pretty tough going, and can lead to the fallacy of “trying to be fluent” which we know exacerbates stuttering. For this reason I think Paul Brocklehursts program. “Self empowerment” stuttering program ( honestly google it, or YouTube vids) covers this in the technique “orchestral speech” but also has a block modification approach called “ the jump” which helps when in a moment of a block like a deer in headlights as it were. But thanks for you contribution. I’m English and have a bottle of red wine, so if this comes off a lecturing, my badness.
