Hypnosis for stuttering - anyone want to do this with me?! So I'm fairly new to posting on Reddit, my first message was a couple weeks ago which can be located here. [https://www.reddit.com/r/Stutter/comments/c164rf/my\_experiences\_with\_my\_stutter/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Stutter/comments/c164rf/my_experiences_with_my_stutter/) Sum things up- I've stuttered for all or most of my life, tried a million different things, and between my parents and I, we've probably spent 50K+. I'm one that is 100% fluent when I'm alone and talk or read out loud, and very fluent in a lot of other situations, being with my father, and close friends I've known for ages. I've tried the B1 study (still am)- it was in early/mid May when I saw my father for 4-5 hours, was nearly 100% fluent throughout my time with him and told him that was probably the last time he'd see me in person where I stuttered.. I was feeling great with the B1, but I definitely had my times where I stuttered in my normal situations. 3-4 weeks ago, I was talking on the phone with him 100% fluent, he then asked me if my stutter was gone, and after he asked me that, I wasn't fluent at all, stuttered a ton. I thought that was incredibly weird. So.. 2-3 weeks ago or so, I found this link to stuttering for hypnosis. Several nights I'd try it right before bed and I'd fall asleep 5-10 minutes into it (55 minutes long). Yesterday I listened to it after work, so early on.. What really struck my attention is the 30:30 minute mark to the 32:30 mark. It starts out by saying anxiety and talking is a vicious cycle, 1 bad experience where you (i) stuttered, created another bad experience and lead to repeated bad experiences talking and stuttering. (my 1st bad experience was in kindergarten/1st grade when a teacher called on me for an answer and I didn't know it, so I stuttered, lead to more bad experiences etc. ) It then mentions your subconscious system when someone stutters is being over protective and see something as a great threat and we need to '"reset that protective system". In my opinion, the piece about the subconscious being overprotective when there is a perceived "threat" makes SOOOO much sense WHY I / most people that stutter. It makes sense why I can be 100% fluent when I'm alone, or comfortable with certain people, but then the next minute, completely stutter. THAT (finally) makes sense to me. Anyway, I'm going to try this every day (or try to) for the next 21-28 days along with the B1 and magnesium. Anyone with me? Here is the main link -> [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tF44ZqHfl54](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tF44ZqHfl54) but if there is a weird audio feedback, go to this link [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DoNoeFrJvTs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DoNoeFrJvTs) , but i think the first link is the best. I'll update this in 3-4 weeks or so :) Best of luck
