Imo she's trying to be considerate and is worried she'll make you feel bad by inadvertently smiling or laughing as you stutter. Some people do, unconsciously, laugh or smirk when I stutter, but I take that as their unintentional reaction to an unexpected situation Don't attribute to malice what you can attribute to ignorance
