I've had similar experiences, and it kind of annoys me that the top rated comment is just denying your experience here. There's no doubt that a stutter is going to be a dealbreaker for some women and a turn off for others. It signals insecurity and lack of confidence even though we both know it's just not like that. Yes, some people are going to be seriously turned off by your stutter. I had a co-worker at a party drunkenly confess to me that even though he thought I was a really cool guy it was the stutter that ultimately meant that we weren't going to hang out and that I wouldn't be invited into his social group. It hurts. I don't think that stuttering is always going to be a part of you or me. Are you not yourself when you don't stutter? Surely you've had fluent periods, maybe you were drunk? If a medication cured your stutter would you not be yourself anymore? It's just a feature of you, and features can change. I don't know what to tell you because it sucks but having a thick skin helps. Keep striving towards fluency and keep on the look out for fluency enhancing drugs that may be hitting the market in the next few years.
