Marijuana and stuttering I’ve been a stutterer my whole life, there’s times when it’s been better and times it’s been worse. When i was about 13 I started speech therapy for about 2 years. Afterwards, i was so fluent and felt very confident talking & making friends for the first time in my life. Shortly after, around 16-17 i started smoking, i was still fluent but not like i was, i would have bumps or have a lot of “uhh” or “uhm” but not frequently, fast forward a few years to 20 i completely stopped smoking, and my stutter has gotten so much worse since then, as well as my anxiety, does this tie in with marijuana and stuttering? or is this just because i’m a more anxious person now in my adult life? i always overthink everything and think i’m going to always stutter whenever i open my mouth, it’s hard for me to say more than a sentence or two without a “uhh” or “just” or comfort words that i know i won’t stutter on, what could benefit me? speech therapy again? anxiety medication?
