Yes! I’ll often feel compelled to let people know that my tone might sound arrogant, slightly angry, or condescending but to be aware that I am still fine tuning how to decrease my dysfluent speech. I’ve started some job interviews with that disclaimer and use it as a way of introducing to them that I do stutter, I’m not ashamed, and then to get a chuckle from them I’ll add, if you prefer that I sing my responses you can certainly request that as I offer that as an alternative to “cocky guy who sounds annoyed with questions” tone. :)
