If the recruiter was that rude, it's probably a blessing that you didn't proceed further with the interview process. It wasn't meant to be. Where I live (Ontario, Canada) we have a piece of legislation called the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act where if you notify the potential employer ahead of time, they must accommodate you by offering a different forum for the interview. Regardless of where you are, the recruiter should have picked up on your stuttering and offered a way to accommodate your interview - follow up via e-mail, text, etc. Link: [https://www.aoda.ca/hiring-people-with-disabilities-recruiting-with-aoda-accessibility-in-mind/](https://www.aoda.ca/hiring-people-with-disabilities-recruiting-with-aoda-accessibility-in-mind/) Also in Ontario, Stutters are designated to have a "disability" under the Ontario Human Rights Code which offers a wide range of protection against discrimination in the workplace including the hiring process.
