I had a pretty serious stutter as a very young kid, and my speech pathologist (who was awesome) encouraged me to tell people. I don’t remember this, I was in like kindergarten so the memories are fuzzy, but my parents tell me that it made me feel like I had a little bit of control over it in the moment. So hey — good for you.
