I’m not a parent but a kid of someone who stutters. I’m one of 3 kids and the only one who stutters besides my parent. Please don’t feel guilty. I will say it has been very hard and upsetting at times, but it’s about the support and understanding that you will give your child. There are things that can be done: speech therapy, devices that can help your speech etc, and even just having a parent who knows the struggles will be a great support. I also worry about having kids in the future for the same reason but you can’t let your stutter make decisions for you as others have said! Lots of people have disabilities, and again it may be difficult for them but it shouldn’t stop you or your future child from living their life.
