Yes. I am a 25F. I just stopped caring. I’m not going to waste the rest of my life in speech therapy, which made no difference in my fluency. I spent a majority of my childhood in speech therapy. Ironically, I am an SLP and still I stutter. I would rate my stutter as mild to moderate, depending on the day. I stutter enough for people to notice. If someone wants to be shitty towards me for it, hitting them with the, “Yeah…I was born with a stutter,” usually puts them to shame and embarrasses them real quick. Disclaimer- If you still choose to go to therapy for your stutter and if speech therapy as worked for you, that’s great and do what you wanna do. For me, it just wasn’t worth my time. It made me accept my stutter, but it didn’t cure or decrease it. This is coming from me, an SLP.
