stuttering vs stress levels (on mobile sorry for the format) I went on a ‘vacation’ for a month, i say ‘vacation’ because half the time I was taking care of my great aunt who is in poor health -in and out of hospitals, worrying about health problems, etc- but it was still a vacation. I was swimming in the lake everyday, relaxing, and not working. I noticed a significant decline in my stuttering. I was able to talk slower and take a moment before saying a word I would stutter on and get through my sentence without any hard facial contortions or grinding my teeth. A day or so after i got back from my vacation I was stuttering like hell, blocking on my words and uncontrollable facial movements. I also live with my mom, who I think is a big factor in why I stutter in the first place. My family and friends have noticed my decline in my speech and asked me about it. I think stress levels have a major impact on my speech and how calmly I go about speaking. What are your tips to lower stress levels?? I am moving to the place I vacationed at in November, I’m seriously hoping getting away from my mom will help my speech. Is that wrong of me to think?? What are your opinions? Or do you have any similar stories?
