When I was a teenager I felt extremely hopeless with my stutter. Would cry at least once a week over it and it would upset me so much that I couldn't "fix" it. I luckily had a much older cousin with a stutter who I saw find a job she loved, have friends, marry a great spouse, and live a life I thought (for some reason) I couldn't have because of my stutter. And now with my stutter I'm living my own fulfilled life. Being young is hard, and with a stutter it can be more difficult. Positive affirmations said in the mirror really helped me in undergrad, things like "my voice is important", "my voice deserves to be heard", "people don't care that I stutter" that sorta stuff. Feels silly at first but it made a positive impact on my confidence
