while it is true that many people “grow out” of their stutter over time, many people who stutter keep stuttering throughout their life. it’s totally ok to want to be more fluent, that’s normal! i just wanted to say that it’s also completely ok to stutter. it’s hard for people who stutter right now because the world is still pretty uneducated about stuttering and people can say hurtful things. in the end though, people who stutter just talk a different way than other people, just like some people walk differently or think differently. i also wanted to say watch out for fake and misleading “stuttering cures” that’s marketed on the internet. they may post before and after videos of people they’ve “helped”, but they most likely teach ways to avoid your stutter, if even that. i love that you aspire to do a Ted Talk, post it here when it happens!
