It’s very tough and the obstacles we go through to avoid speaking situations is so tiresome. We stutter because we try to be normal speakers and we are not. We fear the we may mess up which is in fact why we mess up. We have good days and bad. Just when you have a great day and flow nicely you are then hit with a day where you can’t speak at all. We skip events we don’t raise our hands we don’t share our thoughts or ideas. I feel like most stutters I’ve met are very intelligent. Practice makes perfect. Running makes the problem linger forever. Put yourself into speaking situations and if you fail that’s ok you’re trying and training to become less tense in those situations. The more fear you build up like introducing yourself the harder it becomes. I wish all my fellow stutterers good luck. Just know that it’s ok to speak with an stutter it’s our accent. Once we embrace it we will become less tense and stutter more easily.
