I met my boyfriend in High School. I was 17, now 21. I was masking at this point. I can no longer mask anymore, I completely exhausted myself over the years. Eventually, I told him about my stutter and it allowed me to mask less. He loves me so much that it never bothers him. I started to mask less overtime and I don’t feel ashamed. He makes me feel normal. I hope you experience this one day!!! There’s always someone out there, I just got lucky that the one for me went to the same school as me.
