You are 100% right, I agree because I experience the same. However, regarding OP's post, that's about something else entirely. The OP is referring to a "reason to stutter". For example, in my experience right before I stutter, I have this reason to stutter: "If I speak fluently then it feels like I don't control my speech because": a) at any moment I could stutter because I feel something is missing (in my speech control) and I have the urge and craving to feel a stutter blocking. Because I'm so used to my stutter way of speaking which belongs to me. So in a sense, fluency gives me unsafe and insecure feelings/thoughts. Do you share the same experience? b) I have no idea why I can speak fluently now (in comparison to earlier today) c) etc
