Anyone else find that adding or removing words makes speech easier?

Anyone else find that adding or removing words makes speech easier? When Im getting lunch at uni, “May I have a box?” tends to give me some problems. However, I can say “May I have a togo box?” with ease. Any of you experience something similar? If so, who do you think that is? For me I believe it’s because I have a history of struggling on the “b” sound, so adding an extra word in there helps prepare me for it in someway.
