Every single time someone asks me my name, I internally roll my eyes. If it’s a stranger who I won’t see again, I give them a fake name. If I have to say my legal name for context, I just spell it out (usually I can say a word after I spell it out loud for some reason), which can be seen as condescending but it’s a lot better than me trying to say it, then asking me again, followed by me stuttering even worse the second time.
