I don't want to assume how bad your stutter is, so apologies if this comes off that way, but are you perhaps relying too much on your phone for communication in an attempt to not stutter? Avoiding stuttering in my experience just makes it worse, as it enforces the thought in my head that I am unable to communicate normally, which becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy which ends up in me stuttering even more when I have no other option but verbal communication. Try to get used to stuttering. Yes, people will initially look at us like we're retards or freaks or whatever. But that's just how it is. Push through that initial discomfort and keep at it. If they continue to be an ass about it, that's on them. Some people, however, will eventually figure out that behind our weird speech patterns there's a regular-ass person, and they'll see us for the person that we are, no matter how much we stutter.
