" I tend to just say what I gotta say, not worry too much about the stutter, and to have a cheery disposition while I am conversing so the person kind of gets the point that it is something I don't have a lot of control and that I'm not bothered by our interaction." That's what I try to do as well! It's just rough sometimes when I get a really big block. I find that many people are familiar with repetitions but not with blocks or other symptoms. They often seem to have no idea what's wrong with me / why I suddenly stopped talking for several seconds.
