Hi Friend, Stuttering is a strange curse, and can be especially burdensome if you have other traits that an uninformed society might hold against you. Drive-thrus drive me crazy too, and I'm from a group of people that others expect to be all strong and manly. Being terrified of ordering food or of introducing myself doesn't fit well with what society expects. All I can say is that you are really not alone. There are many of us stutterers out there.
