It's really hard to say. I have a stutter and I have autism. My folk are pretty sure that my stutter came as a result of my lack of communication development when I was little - I only started speaking when I was five. Maybe stuttering will be classified as a neurodivergent symptom in the near future. Stuttering research is improving all the time.
