I hear you man. I can really relate to your train of thought - I grew up with it, and had it until relatively recently. I used to think stuttering and confidence were definitely mutually exclusive, but I've realized, that not only that's not true, but you can also come across as even MORE confident than the average person. Why? Because people recognize that you're struggling with something, and if you're social or confident IN SPITE of that thing, it speaks volumes about your confidence levels. I'd like to conclude by saying this 'mystical' concept of 'confidence' should be seen more as something that can be cultivated through repeated exposure to fear, rather than this god-given gift. I didn't have it growing up - quite frankly - but these past few years have been a journey of growth, one that you can have too.
