Speaking on exhalation helps stuttering/blocks
Content
Speaking on exhalation helps stuttering/blocks It’s a technique that honestly slips my mind most of the time, but I notice that it really helps when I remember to use it. Whenever I hit a block while speaking or sense one coming, I take a second to inhale and say what I wanted to say on the exhale. I find that it’s so much easier to say what I want while exhaling. I also tend to run out of breath during blocks, so it’s a chance to reset. I’m not educated enough to connect the dots between stuttering, breathing, and why this works, but it does. Does anyone have any insight?
