I wanted to share this post that a member of our Discord Stutter Support Server posted. It is a mindset change to allow yourself to stutter without those negative thoughts that come with stuttering Sometimes they are just many small steps not giant leaps. Finding a local support group of other stutterers either online or in your city may help. Also interacting with other stutters may help. For this person, they have been participating in voice chats in discord with us on a regular basis. Here is what they posted: "Since joining this [Discord Stutter Support] server I have seen a massive improvement, not in my speech so much as my mindset. I use to mentally kick myself after every stutter, like this knee-jerk reaction of self-hate that would just lock me into a horrible mood. And like ive noticed I'm not getting that knee-jerk reaction 24/7, and when I do I can usually catch myself before it starts spiraling. It doesn't sound like much but im really proud of myself, i thought it was something that'd always be around."
