It's not, and that's why my communication is limited to a few words or sentences when I meet new people. I might come across as aloof or disinterested as a result, so I always put on a smile and seem extremely interested in their chat to counter some of that. But I don't enjoy talking with people who are not my friends, but that could possibly be due to my life-long stutter. I just don't know what to talk about, and even if I do, by the time I come up with a way to say it clearly, I have lost interest or they have moved on to some other topic or people. I am much more chatty with friends I am comfortable with, but I am also quite a boring company. If you want to have a fun day out, I am not the guy unless you bring the fun and allow me to participate.
