Sounds a lot like my stutter, I have a name with a harsh syllable at the start (ka sound) so it's annoying to get my own name out sometimes. It's definitely linked to anxiety, whether stuttering causes anxiety, or anxiety causes stuttering, I don't know. As another poster said, I've also developed coping mechanisms to avoid or deter a word, such as sating 'hey dad' instead of starting with 'dad', flow is important for me As for your questions, I can't be too sure, stuttering isn't a major problem in my life anymore however, it's just a quirk I have.
