ProTip: it can be hard to make yourself do this but it totally helps me when I start spiraling during the day. Set up and interaction. Like, think of something to go ask a coworker. Choose your word beforehand and stutter on it on purpose. The harder you can sell it, the better. I don’t know why it works, but since stuttering is psychological, I have my theories on it. My best speech therapist taught me this one. He was a former chronic stutterer and this (along with moving away and starting a new life) cured him. He still stutters in his home town and around old people from his life btw. It hasn’t cured me, but it has turned around bad days with great efficacy. For me fluency is all about momentum. A few bad talks and the rest of the day is downhill.
