Rick and Morty is Showing the World That Stuttering is ok and can be “Normal” So my favorite show right now is Rick and Morty. One of the things that makes the characters come to life is the amount of stuttering both Rick and Morty have in their day to day speech and the fact that it’s normalized in the show. Nobody even brings it up as an issue at all, it’s just part of how they speak and everyone loves them for it, it makes them more human than characters I’ve seen in other shows. Rick is the smartest man in the universe (so he says) and yet he stutters every episode. He’s showing the world that stuttering has nothing to do with your intelligence. He doesn’t care if he stutters, he just tangos on through his speech. If you haven’t seen the show go watch it because it’s done wonders for my self esteem.
