It's so bad that when I'm running errands I have to use my notes app to talk to people. The 1st sentence in my notes app is always: I'm not deaf, I can hear you just fine. It is absolutely mortifying. When I'm out in public it seems my ability to communicate verbally suddenly just turns off. Only "ums" and "uhs" leave my lips. I was stuttering so much that I got sorethroats and coughing. Somebody once asked me if I was having a stroke and from that point onwards I just gave up trying. I've had a stutter for 10 years but never this bad until 2 years ago. But when I'm at home I can speak absolutely fine like any other person on this planet. No stutter at all, zero. Yeah people definitely remember me but I'd rather it not be in the form of a prayer to help heal me to their god or goddess of choice.
