Just clasp your palms together. Both thumbs are facing you. Take your inside thumb and slide it between your index and middle finger. According to Dr. Abrams (that's his name) it has the same effect as swaddling a baby and gives you a feeling of safety. Now you have 4 fingers squeezing the 3 fingers that your thumb is separating. I've been doing this for 47 years and now theres no more squeezing involved. My employees and my wife have pointed out to me that they know I'm about to say something emotionally difficult when I slide that thumb between those two fingers. The only time I've noticed myself doing it is when I'm speaking to a large group of people, or someone that stutters. I hope this works for you all, as it worked for me. I saw Dr. Abrams at the gym, over 40 years later. When I told him what he had done for me, he said his Grandfather had told him this when he was young and over the years he's received more praise for this than any psychology paper he's ever written. It's in you. Relax and speak. i
