Go anyway, the adults will be cool and probably have good advice. The teen version of the NSA is called FRIENDS, teens who stutterer. If you can swing the cost, AIS in NYC has a two week intensive program which helped me immensely. As a whole, support groups and therapy can be very helpful. A book which really helps be is "From Stuttering to Fluency" by Gunars Neiders.
