Just found out about self-ending voice message recordings and now they are the bane of my existence

Just found out about self-ending voice message recordings and now they are the bane of my existence I had to cancel an appointment for tomorrow and the only way was through voicemail because the place I was calling was closed. My stutter was really bad and I had blocks for like 10 seconds before I could get anything out. Every 7 seconds or so, the voicemail recording system automatically made me start over the message due to inactivity. I had nearly 20 attempts before I was able to send, at the bare minimum, an embarrassing semi-coherent message. I’ve literally never come across something like this before. I’m already used to dreading phone calls, this whole inconvenience on top of it is ridiculous. Life is so unfair sometimes.
