I'm a person that stutters and I feel I'm very smart and competent. But in high school, I couldn't focus on my classwork when I knew I had a speech or was going to be called on to read. It sucks because you don't focus on actual learning but on the thought about stuttering/blocking. I would allow the student to record the presentation. Just a thought
