Of course, while I was growing up, my life was mostly determined by my parents. I tended to play video games because they were often a lot more enjoyable than conversation. Unfortunately, I decided that I don't want to be around my family. I have enough money for my own bills now, so I don't have to see them anymore. I also work a job that has almost no talking. Whenever I notice anyone being an asshole, I remove them from my life; it's as simple as that. Once you become independent, you have a lot more options and choice as to how you can live.
