There's way too many 'just force it! it's avoidance!' comments here. Sure, if you want to stutter a whole bunch around people, go nuts. it's not 'avoidance' swapping words. It's being a better and more effective communicator. If you can't say 'Hello!' and change to 'hi!' or 'greetings!', you've not avoided saying hi. You've avoided stuttering and wasting your time and somebody else. Being a better communicator *isn't* avoidance.
