I definitely don't recommend doing this long term as it's a terrible solution. Have you tried prescription medication before? Most doctors will prescribe small amounts of benzodiazepines for speeches or panic attacks. Other than that you should really be using therapy or SSRI's to manage the anxiety part. For me, my medication regimen consists of lexapro, wellbutrin, vryalar, and klonopin (occasionally). The lexapro/wellbutrin gave me the IDGAF attitude which was awesome. But the vrayalar has improved my speech a ton. According to Dr. Maguire (lead researcher on stuttering) anti-psychotics such as vraylar have shown efficacy in improving speech fluency for stutterers. It's just trying to find the one with the least side effects right now until something better comes out.
