I actually disagree, throwing yourself head-first into a frat would give you so many speaking opportunities and sort of force you to become more confident and engaged in social settings. When i went to university in Canada I went to class, and left immediately after. I never joined any clubs and avoided any sort of social settings. I was so sheltered away that when it came time to present in class I completely crumbled. I wish I put myself into more difficult situations and I think a frat might help with that.
