I also suspect that the two are related. Like they're sister disorders or cousins. Question for you, when you say the words won't come out, describe that experience more. Does it happen on particular sounds (vowels or consonants). Is there a lot of tension in you throat / vocal chords / upper body when you to say them. Do you try to force the word out and still have no luck? Is there any type of phsyical strain associated? Or do you just have the sensation of being so nervous that there's like a frog in your throat and you're not really expending any physical effort trying to speak.
