I’m not actually sure about the therapy part. I’ve recently started reading a stuttering help book by Lee Lovett, and he introduced me to the term speech anxiety. I’ve kind of adopted it ever since, as I think it describes me perfectly. My stutter is very heavily dependent on my anxiety in any situation. I stutter far less or not at all when I’m comfortable, and will stutter on almost every word if i’m anxious. This sucks, because I’m anxious all the time due to my lifelong stutter. The constant anxiety makes my stutter worse, which then worsens my anxiety. A vicious cycle. I’d say for me personally, I think working on my overall anxiety first is inadvertently addressing my stutter too, as they’re so heavily related.
