Quite a few years ago, my own kids were playing with a whole bunch of other kids. One of the kids they were playing with started speaking in a very soft stutter, and everybody started making fun of them including my kids. I really tore into my kids really hard and you know what they never did that ever again. Sometimes I found you just have to have a thick skin when it comes to people reacting. The best thing anybody ever said to me was most people they don’t understand what stuttering is, and a lot of them think you’re joking with them when you do it. Whether that is accurate or not advice like that has always helped me through those times when Words fail me. You could always make a comment to tell the kids that’s not very nice or mention it to the parents if you’re feeling bold enough. In my life, I’ve been teased so much. You really have to come up with something original to really get me upset.
