I'm happy to hear that declaring your stutter helps you. It 100% does for me too(and somehow works!) but lately, Im starting to think that doing so will leave a "bad" first impression on the person you're meeting. When i mean "bad"(take it lightly), those people may think of you as the guy/gal who stutters rather than the person you are. I feel that telling them casually during a mundane task like lining up for a coffee shop or walking to class, is much more appropriate than declaring straight away.
