Are you me? Because I could’ve written this. I find ways around it, giving myself a short nickname and saying “nice to meet you, you can call me ___”. People won’t think twice. It’s been LIFE CHANGING to just shorten your name to one syllable (unless it already is). Or just spell out your name in scenarios where you can. Also, sometimes you have to force yourself to do it and just fight through it. every time you succeed at saying your name you’ll gain confidence and get better. Try not to be too hard on yourself. We’re our own worst critic.
