This comment reminds of when my speech therapist would explain all kinds of tactics during therapy that I was tasked to practice at home and during real life situations. Unfortunately, none of the tactics were actually applicable in real life. Maybe if she had a stutter herself she would have realized that. I hope the curriculum for stuttering in speech therapy school is different now than it was back then .
