I’m glad I’ve had a closer look over the research again, and I see that a few well designed studies show promise for efficacy for some medications at reducing stuttering - olanzapine looks especially promising and was tested in a controlled study. So, I should definitely have qualified my statement a bit more, and I thank you for pointing that out. I do wish you’d stop calling me disingenuous though, mate. Another note, so much of this research is based on case studies. A lot of these medications show some effect or some promise but would be nowhere near the level of evidence you would need to prescribe people these medications or to call them “effective.”
