Similar to what others say, my speech therapist also put emphasis in breathing. She noted that my interruptions between sentences, or my repetitions of the same sound, were in part because I wasn't taking enough air when I started talking. Instead, I tend to take air mid-sentence, because I run out of it, and that produces a significant fraction of my stutter. I still stutter, but now I'm more conscious about the way I breath, and that seems to reduce a little bit my stutter. Another thing was reading out loud with a singing voice, extending some words, that also can work. But as soon as you can, see a speech therapist, they have an arsenal of exercises that may have a positive result with you.
