Wasn’t expecting my written characters to develop a stutter, as well. I acquired a neurogenic stutter a few years ago, and I’ve been a writer for many more. I now notice some of my characters have stutters when I’m imagining their dialogue in my head. I’ve never written a character with a stutter, so not only is it odd, it’s frustrating. Do other writers experience this?
