The movie brought me to tears as well, both in the opening scene when he was trying to give the speech, when his father was urging him to just spit it out, and when he gave the final speech at the end of the movie. The looks on the faces of the people in the crowd was what got me. I've seen that look before. The movie is about him coping with his speech but it was also about the publics perception and pity on a man who stuttered.
